Patricio Pitbull has been granted another PPV fight. Unfortunately for him, the former Bellator champ did not deliver in his debut fight in the UFC. He was outclassed, outpunched, and outscored by Yair Rodriguez. So he gets a second chance to show exactly how much he is worth against Dan Ige.
Ige is a 19-9 MMA record, but his recent five-fight skid is only 2-3. Nevertheless, after suffering two losses in a row against Diego Lopes and Lerone Murphy, he managed to dispose of Sean Woodson with a vicious TKO finish. 50K can punch, which is what got him seven finishes in his career. But can he do the same to Pitbull?
He will be battling Patricio Freire, who is not the same Pitbull of old. At the moment, he is only 1-3 with his only win being against Jeremy Kennedy at the Bellator Championship in March 2024. Nevertheless, once the UFC gitters are gone, he still has a lot that he can deliver.
I truly see this fight being a sleeper fight at UFC 318 and predict Pitbull earning his first win in the organization. Ige is hard to take down and finish, so I predict this one ending with a little bit of help from the judges and turning Patricio Pitbull’s way.
